Your staff need to practice competent security methods of success with a high degree of control. Do they use online services to convert important business PDFs because you haven’t provided them with a secure, encrypted option? Are they bringing in unverified personal storage units to transport localized files home to work on?
It might seem like no big deal, but even a small lack of care in your process can cause issues further on, especially if small problems are being practiced by many employees in a large business. A tiny habitual problem becomes a problem when repeated each week by ten people. A problem becomes a huge problem when one hundred of your staff participate in it regularly. Ensure you train your staff exactly in the security habits they are to maintain in order to keep the tightest control of your procedure, and to avoid leaks or hacks.
Of course, staff will not adhere to any security code if it’s not a responsibility in their contract. You may list different levels of adherence for certain clearance levels of information, allowing you to ensure that the people most at risk can be focused on, helping you manage your security-focused time effectively.
